About Us

About Our Columbus, OH Roofing Company

A roofing contractor based in Granville, Ohio, working on homes across Columbus and Central Ohio.

Who We Are

Roofing Is The Whole Job

Roofing crew working on a job site

Novex Roofing works on the parts of a house that keep weather out: the roof first, then the gutters, siding and skylights that finish the system. We are based in Granville and spend our days on homes around Columbus.

When we look at your roof, you get photos of what we found and a written price for what it needs — whether that is a small repair, a full replacement, or nothing at all this year.

Working With Us

What You Can Expect

  1. One point of contact

The person who quotes your roof is the person you can reach while the work happens.
  2. A defined scope

The quote lists the work, the materials and the price. Changes get discussed before they happen, not after.
  3. A clean site

Tarps over landscaping, debris hauled off, and a magnet sweep for nails before we call a job finished.

Why Novex

How We Approach The Work

  1. Local to Central Ohio

Based in Granville, working across Columbus. The weather that tests your roof is the same weather that tests ours.

  2. Repair before replacement

If a repair will genuinely fix the problem, that is the recommendation you will get. Replacement is for roofs that need it.

  3. Photos of everything

Estimates come with pictures of what we found, so you are deciding from evidence rather than a stranger's say-so.

  4. Storm work without pressure

After hail, you will hear what we found and what your options are. What your policy covers is between you, your policy and your adjuster.

Common Questions

Answers, Up Front

How long does an asphalt shingle roof last in Ohio?

Typically 15 to 25 years, depending on the shingle grade, the attic ventilation underneath, and how much hail the roof takes over its life. Architectural shingles sit at the upper end of that range; three-tab at the lower.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family asphalt replacements take one to two days once material is on site. Steep, complex or large roofs can run longer, and weather always gets a vote.

Will homeowners insurance cover my roof damage?

Policies generally cover sudden storm damage — hail and wind — and generally exclude wear and age. Where your roof lands is decided by your policy and your adjuster; what we provide is the assessment and the photo documentation of what is actually up there.

Do I need a full replacement, or will a repair do?

If the roof has years of life left and the damage is localized, a repair is usually the right call. If the shingles are failing across the whole field, repairs become payments on a roof that is ending. We price whichever option the evidence supports.

What does a free estimate involve?

We come out, walk the roof, photograph what we find, and give you a written price for any work it needs. You keep the photos and the findings whether or not you hire us.
